Head Office Accountant – Finance & Data Protection Lead

About the role

Form Ghana Ltd, a leading plantation management company, is looking for a Head Office Accountant to oversee financial operations at its Sunyani headquarters and lead the company’s data protection and compliance framework. The role combines traditional accounting duties with responsibility for safeguarding personal and corporate data.

Key responsibilities

• Manage cash and bank accounts, perform bank reconciliations and prepare weekly/monthly cash situation updates.
• Process all statutory payments (WHT, PAYE, VAT, SSF) and ensure timely filing with authorities.
• Prepare the year‑end financial report for audit, maintain the asset register and supervise the Accounts Assistant.
• Handle payroll computation, consolidation of permanent staff and management of external loans and salary advances.
• Develop and maintain Form Ghana’s Data Protection Programme, draft policies, train staff and liaise with the National Communications Authority.
• Monitor budget estimates versus actual expenditure and alert management of significant variances.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree/HND in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Member of ICAG, ACCA or CIMA and certified Data Protection Supervisor.
• Valid NHIS Card, Ghana Card and SSNIT Number; driver’s licence is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Knowledge of Ghana tax and pension regulations.
• Understanding of data protection laws and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with forestry information systems.
