Information Systems Business Analyst

About the role

Promasidor, a leading FMCG company operating across Africa, is looking for an Information Systems Business Analyst to act as the bridge between its IT department and business units. The role involves analysing business needs, translating them into functional specifications, and ensuring successful implementation and support of business systems.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between technical and business teams to align IT solutions with business needs.
• Gather and analyse business requirements, including comprehensive business process analysis.
• Create complete, detailed, well‑structured functional specifications.
• Organise, supervise and perform testing to minimise production issues.
• Train users and provide ongoing support for business systems.
• Manage support tickets and ensure timely resolution.
• Support timely project delivery and, where required, participate in project management activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience in business systems analysis, preferably within an FMCG manufacturing and distribution environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, PBA or Lean Six Sigma are valued.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
