Kindergarten Teacher – Early Childhood Education

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Kindergarten Teachers to join BASICS International, a grassroots NGO dedicated to ending child labour and illiteracy in Ghana. The role involves creating a supportive informal learning environment that prepares school‑age children for successful transition into mainstream schools.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver age‑appropriate instructional activities in an informal setting to develop foundational literacy, numeracy and social skills.
• Assess children’s progress and tailor support to ensure readiness for formal schooling.

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year post‑qualification teaching experience.
• Valid teaching credential.
• Strong organizational abilities and excellent written and verbal communication.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
