About the role
The Ghana Railway Development Authority is hiring four Mechanical Technicians to support the operation and upkeep of its locomotive fleet. This full‑time position involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining critical mechanical systems to ensure safe and reliable railway services.
Key responsibilities
- Service locomotive engines, braking systems, couplers and other mechanical components.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on railway equipment.
- Respond to breakdowns, conduct equipment testing, and carry out repairs.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and accurate maintenance records.
Required profile
- Technician Part 3 Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in locomotive or heavy‑equipment maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities, with capacity to work under pressure.
