Partnerships Specialist

About the role

The Partnerships Specialist will drive strategic growth for UNOPS in Ghana by building key relationships, mobilising resources and expanding the office’s portfolio to deliver sustainable development results.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive partnership and programme development plan aligned with UNOPS strategic priorities.
• Analyse the country and regional development landscape to identify potential partners and operational niches.
• Coordinate with global, regional and national partnerships teams, as well as country and project managers, to ensure coherent partner engagement.
• Monitor humanitarian and development trends, research opportunities and advise senior management on partnership frameworks.
• Contribute to the design, formulation and negotiation of new projects, including drafting concept notes and project briefs.
• Maintain partnership opportunity records in UNOPS project management tools.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience (minimum 7 years) in partnership development, donor relations or business development.
• Proven ability to work with governments, UN agencies, donors and other development stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to assess risks, opportunities and strategic positioning.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
