PhD Computer Science Expert for AI Research

About the role

Gramian Consultancy seeks a PhD‑qualified Computer Science engineer to join a 12‑week contractor project focused on evaluating frontier AI models. You will design and assess complex, reasoning‑heavy problems across core computer‑science domains, helping improve AI reasoning quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design advanced, conceptual computer‑science problems that test AI reasoning.
• Create detailed reference solutions with clear logical explanations.
• Evaluate AI‑generated answers for correctness, completeness, and reasoning quality.
• Identify edge cases, logical flaws, and weak reasoning patterns in model outputs.
• Review topics such as algorithms, systems design, databases, networking, cybersecurity, and distributed systems.
• Contribute to benchmark improvements and provide feedback for model training.
• Collaborate with researchers and reviewers to refine problem sets.

Required profile

• PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field (completed or in progress).
• Strong theoretical foundation and problem‑solving ability across advanced CS domains.
• Excellent written English communication and analytical attention to technical detail.
• Ability to critically evaluate reasoning, assumptions, and solution validity.
