Product Support Supervisor – Mining Equipment

About the role

The Product Support Supervisor will lead the service and maintenance of Sandvik’s mining equipment fleet and manage the Parts and Tools Store for the Simandou Project in Ghana. The role focuses on delivering cost‑efficient, reliable equipment performance while upholding the highest safety, health and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide OEM product support to customers through effective management systems.
• Install, commission and support Sandvik equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage cost budgets, initiate cost‑reduction measures and maintain quality and environmental standards.
• Develop and administer maintenance practices to guarantee fleet availability and reliability per contract terms.
• Take full responsibility for Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) performance and management.
• Maintain customer and stakeholder relationships to ensure satisfaction and long‑term collaboration.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Sandvik’s business image and service offerings.
• Support the personal and career development of subordinates.
• Adhere to all Sandvik policies and procedures, especially SHEQ policies.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified Engineer or strong trade background with relevant equipment technical and managerial experience.
• Project Management qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience maintaining surface mining products, managing parts stores and overseeing technical maintenance.
• Extensive mechanical/electrical engineering knowledge.
• Strong business sense and focus on EHS.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and people‑management skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and other MS Office applications.
