About the role

The University of Cape Coast invites qualified candidates to join the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, Faculty of Science and Technology Education, as Professors. Appointments are open across a range of engineering and science specialisations, including Wood Technology, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, as well as Family Ecology and Management and Food and Nutrition.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures and tutorials in the assigned discipline.
• Supervise student research projects, theses and dissertations.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in refereed journals.
• Participate in departmental committees, curriculum development and academic governance.
• Engage with professional bodies and contribute to community outreach.

Required profile

• Hold a PhD in the relevant field of specialisation.
• Meet the academic qualifications for the rank of Associate Professor.
• Minimum two years experience as an Associate Professor, or extensive teaching/research experience at a university or comparable institution.
• At least eight refereed publications since the last appointment as Associate Professor, or a total of twenty refereed publications since appointment as Senior Lecturer.
