About the role

The University of Cape Coast invites applications for an Associate Professor position in the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, Faculty of Science and Technology Education. The role supports teaching, research, and supervision across several engineering and applied science disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the appointed specialization.
• Lead and supervise research projects and theses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Maintain an active publication record with at least seven refereed papers since the last senior lecturer appointment.
• Contribute to departmental governance, curriculum development, and accreditation activities.
• Promote equity, diversity, and inclusion within the learning and working environment.

Required profile

• Academic qualifications meeting the university’s criteria for Senior Lecturer.
• Minimum four years of teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer or equivalent.
• Evidence of a strong research background and professional experience in the relevant field.
• Ability to supervise student research at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Maximum age of 55 years.
• Commitment to scholarly advancement and willingness to adopt new teaching and research methods.
