Project Manager – Fintech Payments

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end‑to‑end fintech and payments initiatives across digital banking, payment systems, wallets, and card product streams. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of fintech and payments projects from initiation to production.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Maintain project tracking in Jira and Confluence, providing regular status updates and reports.
• Coordinate with fintech vendors and payment providers, monitoring milestones and escalating risks.
• Align card vendor and payment provider timelines with sprint schedules, resolving dependency conflicts.
• Maintain delivery backlogs, RAID logs, and documentation within the PMO framework.
• Organise UAT sessions with business and product stakeholders before releases.
• Prepare weekly progress updates for leadership with data‑driven reporting.
• Support retrospectives, lessons‑learned sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to resource and capacity planning as roadmaps evolve.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of project management experience in fintech, payments, banking technology, or financial services.
• Strong practical experience with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Good understanding of fintech regulatory and compliance requirements (KYC, AML, FinCrime, audit, certification).
• Proven experience managing third‑party vendors and external delivery partners.
• Exposure to card networks, payment rails, digital wallet integrations, and payment ecosystem implementations.
• Excellent stakeholder communication, coordination, and risk management capabilities.
