About the role

We are seeking a Scientific Coding Expert with a strong background in physics and Python to create rigorous scientific coding problems for an 8‑week short‑term contract. The role is fully remote and requires close collaboration during overlap hours with the Pacific Standard Time zone.

Key responsibilities

Create scientific coding problems consisting of a main problem and at least three logically connected sub‑problems.
Implement verified golden solutions in Python with full unit‑test coverage.
Design discriminative test cases that separate correct from incorrect model outputs.
Run quality‑control checks and iterate on tasks based on feedback.
Participate in reviews, feedback sessions, and project stand‑ups during overlap hours.

Required profile

Master's or PhD in Physics.
Strong Python programming and scientific computing expertise.
Ability to write rigorous, well‑posed scientific problems with clear constraints.
Attention to detail and understanding of scientific correctness and determinism.
Google Scholar profile/link is mandatory.
