Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its Ghana team. You will manage the end‑to‑end AR process, ensure timely collections, and support accurate financial reporting for multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Handle invoicing, collections, and reconciliations for all business units.
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements.
• Generate AR reports for the Tax Service Line and schedule withholding tax filings with the Ghana Revenue Authority.
• Reconcile unidentified cash receipts in the general ledger.
• Monitor overdue accounts, follow up with clients, and maintain detailed transaction records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
• Produce regular AR status reports and cash‑flow projections.
• Support month‑end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ICA, ACCA, CPA).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounts receivable role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
