Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Delivery

About the role

The Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Delivery leads the end‑to‑end delivery, operation and lifecycle management of MTN’s core infrastructure platforms, including cloud, data centre, compute, storage and network services. The role ensures high availability, performance, security and cost‑efficiency while driving automation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery and operations of all IT infrastructure platforms, ensuring SLA/OLA compliance.
• Lead provisioning, deployment and lifecycle management for public, private and hybrid cloud environments.
• Oversee on‑premise data centre, server and storage management and integration with cloud services.
• Implement ITIL‑based incident, problem and change management processes.
• Drive automation through Infrastructure‑as‑Code, scripting and orchestration to reduce manual effort.
• Collaborate with security teams on risk mitigation, patching and vulnerability management.
• Manage vendor relationships, contractual performance and procurement inputs.
• Control operational budgets, optimise resource utilisation and support FinOps cost‑optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree (minimum).
• Extensive experience in managing large‑scale IT infrastructure in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering reliable, secure and scalable services.
