Warehouse Forklift Operator

About the role

The Warehouse Forklift Operator ensures the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the facility. You will load, unload, and stage goods using powered industrial trucks while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting production and shipping schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Operate sit‑down counterbalance, stand‑up reach forklifts and pallet jacks to transport raw materials, WIP, and finished products.
• Load and unload freight from trailers, containers and flatbeds.
• Perform regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
• Conduct mandatory pre‑shift and post‑shift equipment inspections, reporting any issues immediately.
• Stack materials securely, adhering to OSHA standards and load‑capacity limits.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of forklift experience in a fast‑paced warehouse, distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Valid OSHA‑compliant forklift operator certification.
• Ability to work in non‑climate‑controlled or cold‑storage environments.

Required skills

• Operation of sit‑down counterbalance forklifts.
• Operation of stand‑up reach forklifts.
• Use of pallet jacks.
• Pre‑shift equipment inspection procedures.
