Regional Regulatory Affairs & Compliance Specialist – Ghana

About the role

Optasia is seeking a Regional Regulatory Affairs & Compliance Specialist to support its fintech platform in Ghana. You will act as the first line of defense, helping the company navigate regulatory changes and maintain a strong compliance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact with regulators, managing new regulations, reporting obligations and prudential guidelines.
• Lead horizon‑scanning activities to identify upcoming regulatory changes and communicate alerts to internal teams.
• Support the Head of Regulatory Affairs & Compliance and Regional Compliance Managers in strategy execution.
• Monitor company compliance with laws and regulations, performing structured risk assessments.
• Help implement a robust compliance governance framework, including training and awareness programs.
• Develop marketing materials, training programs and internal presentations aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Perform general administrative duties related to regulatory reporting.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting fintech and micro‑finance services.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence a culture of ethics and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with regulators and internal stakeholders.
