About the role

The Principal serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Evangelical Presbyterian College of Education, providing strategic leadership and overall academic and administrative direction to ensure the smooth operation of the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the achievement of the college’s vision and mission.
• Oversee administration of academic programmes and ensure high‑quality teacher education.
• Maintain high academic standards and implement quality‑assurance processes.
• Supervise curriculum development and programme accreditation.
• Promote innovative teaching methods and educational delivery.
• Manage human, financial and material resources effectively.
• Foster research, innovation and community engagement.
• Ensure discipline and compliance with statutes, policies and regulations.
• Represent the college in all official matters.

Required profile

• Distinguished scholar with professorial rank.
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching and research experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior management position.
• Evidence of scholarly research and publications.
• Strong leadership, administrative and communication abilities.
• Proven capacity to build partnerships with stakeholders locally and internationally.
• Experience in resource mobilisation and fund‑raising.
• Ability to inspire staff and students and uphold high moral integrity.
