About the role
We are seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead and grow our banking and payments business in Ghana. The role will act as the face of the company, driving sales, managing customer relationships, and ensuring regulatory compliance while overseeing profit and loss.
Key responsibilities
- Lead sales and relationship teams to acquire new business, secure renewals, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute country‑specific sales strategies aligned with regional and global objectives.
- Own and manage commercial P&L, create operating plans, budgets, and monitor financial performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, C‑suite stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead strategic negotiations and oversee execution of commercial agreements.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, industry standards, and company governance.
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high‑performing local team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Provide market intelligence on the banking sector, competitor activity, and trends to inform strategy.
- Oversee efficient sales operations, onboarding, and service delivery, and develop performance dashboards.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role within the banking or payments sector.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and manage P&L responsibilities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with financial institutions and regulators.
- Track record of building and leading high‑performing teams.
- Deep understanding of the Ghanaian banking market and competitive landscape.
