National Retail Manager

About the role

The National Retail Manager will lead the development and execution of Telecel Ghana’s retail strategy, ensuring an exceptional customer experience across all owned, franchise, distributor and community shops. This senior role combines strategic planning, operational oversight and digital transformation to drive sales growth and brand consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement operational plans for shop development, aligning activities with the overall corporate strategy.
• Set objectives and targets for franchise, community and flagship shop channels and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Drive consistent customer experience across all retail touchpoints through governance of CXX metrics.
• Lead digital retail initiatives, enhancing the digital experience in stores and through systems.
• Oversee sales order processes, commissions, incentives and operating standards for franchise and outsourced partners.
• Ensure Telecel Ghana’s brand, product portfolio and value proposition are accurately represented in all channels.
• Achieve retail sales targets using innovative and cost‑effective approaches.
• Promote digital penetration at every retail touchpoint.
• Manage escalation processes between shops and other operational units.
• Provide input on new product and service development for the branded shop channel.
• Monitor financial risk related to commercial agreements and ensure effective execution of sales campaigns.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in retail management, preferably within the telecom sector.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across franchise partners, distributors and internal teams.
• Track record of driving sales performance and improving customer experience.
• Ability to lead large, multi‑disciplinary teams and inspire high performance.
