Senior Product Designer

About the role

Farmerline is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead the creation of innovative, user‑centric products that support small‑scale farmers across Africa. You will head a design team, collaborate closely with product managers, engineers and marketers, and ensure that our digital marketplace delivers functional, aesthetically compelling experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide creative direction and mentorship to a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Define and communicate the design vision for products, aligning with company goals and user needs.
• Partner with product managers and stakeholders to translate business objectives into design strategies.
• Design, prototype, test and iterate product interfaces, ensuring usability, functionality and visual appeal.
• Work cross‑functionally with engineering, marketing and field teams to deliver cohesive solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading design teams and delivering product designs in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong ability to balance creative concepts with business and technical constraints.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions to diverse stakeholders.
• Passion for creating impact‑driven solutions for the agricultural sector.
