Accounts Officer

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Officer to join a well‑established Ghanaian food and lifestyle brand. You will be the primary point of contact for all financial activities, supporting the Founder/CEO and operations team while ensuring accurate books and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for management review.
• Maintain up‑to‑date income and expenditure records and support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning.
• Reconcile daily sales across yoghurt bar locations, including cash, MTN MoMo, card, bank and online transactions.
• Process monthly payroll, issue payslips and file SSNIT, PAYE and VAT returns on time.
• Manage invoices and payments for events, activations and the charitable foundation, ensuring transparent reporting.
• Reconcile supplier invoices with deliveries, track payables and support procurement cost visibility.

Required profile

• Diploma, HND or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian PAYE, SSNIT and VAT requirements.
• Experience in retail, food & beverage or multi‑location businesses is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel).
• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience reconciling digital payment platforms such as MTN MoMo.
