About the role

We are seeking a remote Biology expert to design and solve challenging biology problems that will be used to evaluate large language models. This short‑term contract lasts 11 weeks and offers $450 per approved task.

Key responsibilities

Design and solve advanced biology problems for LLM evaluation benchmarks.
Develop clear, step‑by‑step solutions with detailed reasoning.
Collaborate with LLM researchers to create and refine evaluation tasks.
Help define new benchmarks covering undergraduate to PhD‑level biology.
Explain biology concepts using simple language, visuals, and simulations when needed.

Required profile

Master’s, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
Strong research, analytical, and creative problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.

Required skills

Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: BWA, Bowtie2, GATK, HMMER, HHsuite, STAR, SPAdes, IQ‑TREE, OpenMM, AlphaFold2, PyOpenMS, RELION, PhysiCell, COPASI, Comet, COBRApy, Hifiasm, ABySS, DeepVariant, Flye, OR‑Tools, Bracken, Kraken2, MEGAHIT, antiSMASH, BEAST2, FastTree, DIA‑NN, Percolator, AutoDock Vina, CP2K, Salmon, MethylDackel, Canu, GROMACS.

What we offer

$450 per approved task.
Fully remote work with a flexible schedule (8 hours per day, 4 hours overlap with PST).
Short‑term contract (11 weeks) with immediate start.
