About the role
The Cashier is responsible for handling all payment transactions, maintaining cash control, and providing excellent guest service in a hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process all payment methods in line with accounting procedures and property audit standards.
- Manage bank drops, count cash at shift end, complete cashier reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Transport and secure bank funds between workstations and the bank.
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized cashier workstation with required supplies.
- Perform opening duties, ensure all tools and bank are ready for operation.
- Adhere to company safety, security, uniform, and confidentiality policies.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, and communicate professionally.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- No prior related work experience required.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
Required skills
- Cash handling and basic accounting procedures.
- Use of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
- Clear and professional verbal communication.
