Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Energy Infrastructure Platform (IPO)

About the role

The organization is a fast‑growing energy infrastructure platform operating across several West African countries and is preparing for a public market listing within the next 36 months. The CFO will act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, guiding the company through the IPO process and establishing robust financial foundations for future growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end IPO execution and ensure public‑company readiness.
• Manage SEC registration, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance under US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Oversee investor relations, earnings communications, and analyst engagement.
• Direct treasury functions, capital structure, and liquidity management.
• Coordinate multi‑country financial operations, consolidation, and reporting.
• Supervise Big 4 audit relationships and enhance governance frameworks.
• Drive strategic financial planning to support expansion and growth initiatives.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Prior CFO, Deputy CFO, or VP Finance role in a publicly traded organization.
• Proven track record of leading an IPO or public listing.
• Deep knowledge of SEC reporting requirements, US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Experience managing large finance organizations with complex multi‑entity operations.
• Strong investor‑relations and capital‑markets experience.
• Background in energy, infrastructure, utilities, or other capital‑intensive industries preferred.
• Experience operating in emerging markets is highly desirable.
