Chief of Staff – Business Strategy & Finance

About the role

We are looking for a commercially driven and analytically strong leader to partner closely with the CEO in driving Smart4 Energy’s growth agenda. The Chief of Staff will sit at the centre of the business, bridging strategic finance, investor engagement, performance monitoring and cross‑functional execution across Accra and the Tema region.

Key responsibilities

• Support corporate fundraising activities, including debt and equity transactions, and coordinate investor engagement.
• Lead due‑diligence processes, prepare investment presentations and maintain financing documentation.
• Develop financial analyses, business cases and scenario models to inform strategic decisions.
• Maintain and enhance business planning, forecasting models and KPI monitoring.
• Coordinate communication with shareholders, lenders, advisors and development finance institutions.
• Track strategic priorities and critical initiatives in partnership with the CEO, ensuring timely execution.
• Manage a small team, driving accountability, performance and organisational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 7 years of experience in finance, corporate development or strategic planning.
• Proven track record in capital raising, investor relations and financial modelling.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate objectives into actionable plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working in fast‑growing, energy‑focused organisations is a plus.
