Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Logistics & Supply Chain

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will provide strategic leadership and executive oversight for end‑to‑end logistics and supply‑chain operations across Ghana and Burkina Faso. This senior role drives operational excellence, scalable growth, and reliable service delivery across freight forwarding, haulage, and warehouse functions while aligning execution with the company’s broader business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the company’s operational strategy.
• Oversee regional operations, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple locations.
• Optimize supply‑chain and logistics processes to improve efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Manage haulage and fleet operations, guaranteeing safety and performance standards.
• Drive performance monitoring, financial management, and budgeting for the operations function.
• Ensure compliance with risk, regulatory, and governance requirements.
• Foster leadership development and organizational growth within the operations team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
• 12–15 years of experience in logistics, transport, or supply‑chain management, with at least 7 years in senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record managing multi‑location or cross‑border operations.
• Strong expertise in freight forwarding, transport logistics, and operational performance management.
