Clinical Psychologist – Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate

About the role

The Greater Accra Regional Health Directorate is seeking qualified Clinical Psychologists to join the Ghana Health Service. This permanent position will support the delivery of mental health services across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments and provide evidence‑based psychotherapy to patients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary health teams to integrate mental health care into primary health services.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with GHS policies.
• Participate in health promotion, training, and community outreach activities.

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology.
• Qualified Chartered Psychologist with permanent registration in the relevant regulatory body.
• Evidence of completion of National Service or internship.
• Strong knowledge of Ghana Health Service clinical guidelines.
• Ability to work effectively in a public‑sector health environment.
