Demi Chef De Partie – Culinary Team

About the role

The Demi Chef De Partie will support the kitchen team in preparing high‑quality meals for guests at our JW Marriott property in Accra. This full‑time, on‑site position involves both hot and cold food preparation, ensuring consistency with recipes and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Pull items from freezer storage, thaw them safely, and maintain accurate food logs.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, garnish and adherence to menu specials.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and inform chefs of excess or out‑of‑stock items.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• Technical or vocational school education in culinary arts or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
