About the role
The Duty Manager oversees daily operations of a hotel‑style serviced apartment complex in Accra, ensuring seamless service for residents and guests during assigned shifts. Acting as the senior on‑duty representative, the role combines operational leadership, staff coordination, and rapid issue resolution.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise on‑duty departments including front desk, housekeeping, security, and maintenance.
- Maintain smooth, coordinated operations in line with established procedures and standards.
- Make primary decisions on duty in the absence of senior management.
- Lead and support duty supervisors and departmental leads, ensuring proper staffing and shift coverage.
- Address escalated resident and guest concerns with authority and discretion.
- Prepare shift, incident, and handover reports; escalate critical issues with recommendations.
- Enforce safety, security, and compliance policies; manage emergencies.
- Identify service gaps, recommend improvements, and support new procedures.
Required profile
- Proven experience in duty management, operations management, or senior supervisory roles.
- Strong leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to stay composed and decisive under pressure.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills for reporting and coordination.
