About the role
The Environmental Services and Spatial Planning Specialist will support the Coastal Sustainable Landscapes Project (CSLP) in Ghana by generating, storing, analysing, and sharing biophysical data to improve natural resource management across the Western Region.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and analyse data on forest and wetland cover, land‑use, and socio‑economic indicators.
- Produce and disseminate information on carbon stocks, REDD+ readiness, and sub‑national MRV systems.
- Assist in strategic spatial planning and support stakeholders in coastal landscape conservation.
- Prepare reports, maintain records, and ensure compliance with USAID and USFS guidelines.
Required profile
- Advanced degree in environmental science, geography, land‑use planning or a related field.
- Extensive experience in report writing, auditing, and record‑keeping for development programmes.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with USAID rules, climate‑change mitigation, biodiversity conservation and protected‑area management.
