Regional Sales Representative – Agronomy

About the role

Yara Ghana is seeking a Sales Agronomist to drive the promotion and adoption of its specialty fertilizer portfolio across the Garu/Zebilla region. Reporting to the Commercial Manager for the North, you will work closely with distributors, dealers, and key customers to increase market penetration and support Ghanaian farmers.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and increase sales of Yara’s specialty fertilizer portfolio through distributor and dealer networks.
• Develop and execute regional marketing and promotional activities to boost product visibility and brand awareness.
• Collaborate on agronomic studies, demonstrations, and technical evaluations for new crop nutrition solutions.
• Identify growth opportunities and expand the premium crop nutrition market.
• Maintain and strengthen Yara’s brand presence through consistent customer engagement.
• Coach and mentor the agronomic and technical team to build competence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Extension, or related field.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a multinational agribusiness or agricultural input company.
• Proven expertise in agronomy, crop nutrition, technical sales, market development, and farmer engagement.
• Experience planning and implementing field demonstrations, adaptive trials, and training programs.
• Strong understanding of crop nutrition recommendations and agronomic best practices for key regional crops.
