Head of Partnerships (Africa)

About the role

Lead the partnership function for Africa at a fast‑growing fintech that moves money across borders. You will shape the continent’s financial landscape, build high‑impact commercial relationships and drive capital into Africa and diaspora communities.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow relationships with existing partners across Africa.
• Identify, engage and negotiate new partnership opportunities from first contact to go‑live.
• Represent the Taptap Send brand with regulators and policy makers, ensuring compliance and confidence.
• Track, analyse and report key market metrics to inform strategy.
• Collaborate with Growth, Product, Operations, Business Development and Engineering teams to align product offerings with regional needs.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in high‑performing, fast‑paced environments such as tech, professional services or finance.
• Strong instinct for commercial deal‑making and proven ability to close complex agreements.
• Hands‑on experience working with African regulators and policy makers.
• Deep personal and professional ties to Africa.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a willingness to tackle gritty tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
