Inventory Management Associate

About the role

The Inventory Management Associate will oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of supplies and equipment for Genser Energy Ghana Limited. The role ensures accurate inventory levels, prevents stock‑outs, and supports operational efficiency within the power division.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate unloading and receipt of goods delivered by suppliers.
• Record all inventory transactions in the management system, including receiving, stocking, transfers, and returns.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and support full inventory audits.
• Reconcile discrepancies and report variances to the Inventory Superintendent.
• Coordinate with operational teams and purchasing to forecast demand and maintain stock availability.
• Organise storage areas for safe material handling and optimal space utilization.
• Label and tag inventory items and equipment as required.
• Generate periodic inventory reports and assist with their analysis.
• Support monthly budgeting, cost control and expenditure forecasting.
• Supervise a team, conduct performance appraisals and manage leave schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of inventory management experience, preferably in heavy engineering or Oil & Gas.
• Multicultural experience and proficiency in French or Chinese are a plus.
