IP Transport & Services Engineer

About the role

The IP Transport & Services Engineer will lead the architecture, design and implementation of Vodafone Ghana’s IP/MPLS backbone and fixed access network. This role serves as the technical authority for network releases, ensuring they meet best‑practice standards and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the IP/MPLS backbone and fixed access infrastructure.
• Act as the recognised authority for implementation of the IP/MPLS network across Vodafone Ghana.
• Advise internal and external stakeholders on best‑practice design and operation of IP/MPLS networks.
• Specify, test and assure each new network release before deployment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration and acceptance of network solutions.

Required profile

• First‑degree or professional qualification in a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE or JNCIP.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal/team‑working skills.
• Ability to influence at all organisational levels.
• Experience in planning, architecture, design, integration and acceptance of network solutions.
• Project, process and budget management experience.
• Proficient IT and database skills (MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, etc.).
