Managing Director - Insurance Brokerage

About the role

Verasure Insurance Brokerage Ltd is looking for an experienced insurance leader in Accra to drive its growth, protect and expand its book of business and build a high-performing team. The role is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Set and deliver the business plan, sales and revenue targets
• Win new clients whose business meets the company's criteria
• Protect and grow the existing book through strong client relationships
• Build expert knowledge of the insurance products and insurer partners
• Lead marketing campaigns, client training and presentations
• Work with insurers and the technical team to uphold service and placement standards
• Develop core processes for efficient day-to-day operations
• Lead, coach and motivate the sales and service team
• Ensure full compliance with National Insurance Commission requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
• 4+ years in a senior sales management role in the insurance industry
• Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
• In-depth knowledge of Ghana's insurance products, regulations and market
• Demonstrated success leading and motivating a sales team
• Ability to analyse market trends and turn them into winning sales strategies
• Thrives under pressure, meets deadlines and delivers excellent client service
• Self-driven, seeing assignments through to completion to agreed standards
• Chartered Insurer status is a strong advantage
