Business Development Manager, Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) - West Africa

About the role

Becton, Dickinson and Company's Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) team supplies products used daily in healthcare, including injection and infusion therapy, regional anesthesia and closed medication management. The Business Development Manager, MDS - West Africa drives commercial growth and expands the MDS business across the region by developing new opportunities, strengthening relationships with healthcare customers and key stakeholders, and increasing market penetration of the MDS portfolio. The role can be based in Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast or Senegal.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell the MDS portfolio to healthcare institutions across West Africa.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Identify customer needs and recommend tailored solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations and hands-on training.
• Develop and execute territory plans to achieve sales objectives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements, and gather and analyze market intelligence.
• Provide technical support and product training to customers.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing and Customer Service.
• Prepare regular sales activity reports and represent BD at conferences, exhibitions and industry events.

Required profile

• Degree in science or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years of experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong commercial, customer relationship and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a territory effectively and work independently.
• French language skills would be an advantage.
