Market Excellence Senior Manager – West Africa

About the role

We are looking for a strategic, data‑driven, results‑oriented senior manager to lead innovation, loyalty and sales excellence initiatives across the West Africa (WAC) region. Reporting to the WAC Commercial Director, you will act as a key business partner and centre of excellence, supporting business units in accelerating growth, improving customer engagement and enhancing commercial effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end New Product Development pipeline, translating consumer insights into winning product concepts and commercial propositions.
• Design and implement customer loyalty programmes that increase retention, engagement and lifetime value, using data analytics to target interventions.
• Define and continuously improve Route‑to‑Market (RTM) strategies, establishing KPI frameworks and profitability models across channels and SKUs.
• Drive commercial transformation by overseeing tools and systems such as SFA, CRM, DMS, reporting and routing solutions, and fostering best‑in‑class sales capabilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial, business development, sales excellence or transformation functions.
• Strong experience in Route‑to‑Market strategy and commercial execution.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale commercial transformation or go‑to‑market consulting projects.
• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred.
• Fluent English required; French is an advantage.
