Network Engineer – Telecommunications

About the role

The Network Engineer will join Teledata ICT Ltd’s technical team in Accra, reporting directly to the Technical Manager. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s backbone and last‑mile networks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide resolution for technical and administration issues raised through the ticketing system.
• Assist in the design, deployment, and upkeep of hardware, software, and network programs.
• Troubleshoot backbone and last‑mile canopy networks, including Cisco‑related tasks.
• Configure and maintain network equipment, appliances, and server clusters.
• Install and configure Cisco and other routers, appliances, and servers.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network changes and develop operational procedures.
• Monitor system performance and apply performance‑tuning measures.
• Resolve client‑service issues remotely or onsite as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCDA, MCSE, or MCT.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on networking experience.
• Experience managing multiple IT disciplines, including software support and network cabling.
