Production Technician

About the role

The Production Technician will operate and maintain assigned machinery in a fast‑moving FMCG environment, ensuring continuous, safe, and efficient production. You will work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to meet output targets while upholding food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned machinery and perform hourly log‑sheet recordings of production output.
• Take flow‑meter readings before, after, and during changeovers.
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and work areas throughout the shift.
• Ensure smooth flow of raw materials and finished goods upstream and downstream of the equipment.
• Complete the hourly performance board accurately.
• Execute preventive and planned maintenance tasks and document downtime.
• Conduct visual inspections of raw materials and finished products before release to warehouse.
• Perform quality checks on inspection equipment and products to guarantee safe output.
• Liaise with internal customers to keep the production line running smoothly.

Required profile

• HND or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant post‑national‑service experience, preferably in FMCG manufacturing.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 22000).
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong troubleshooting ability.
• Attention to detail and a proactive safety mindset.
