Quality Control Inspector

About the role

Prestige HR is recruiting a full-time Quality Control Inspector based in Accra. The inspector monitors product quality throughout production, ensures compliance with quality standards and specifications, and supports the Quality Control Section Head with reports and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine in-process and final-product inspections and maintain quality records, updating inspection results in the SAP system.
• Identify, report and follow up on non-conformities, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Verify product labels, packaging materials and finished goods before release; inspect raw material receiving and monitor loading of finished products.
• Perform line-clearance activities during changeovers and approve production start-up after quality verification.
• Prepare quality reports, analyse performance trends and share findings with the Quality Control Section Head.
• Provide quality support and guidance to production personnel and promote continuous improvement.
• Report defects and process abnormalities via Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs); recommend production stoppage for serious issues and prevent release of non-conforming products until approved.
• Segregate non-conforming products with clear identification and document the reason.
• Report environmental or health and safety violations to the HSE representative.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or other relevant qualification.
• 0-3 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in a manufacturing or food-production environment.
• English language.
• HACCP / ISO 22000 awareness is an advantage.

Required skills

• Quality control principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Inspection techniques, non-conformance management and corrective actions.
• Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Attention to detail, good communication, problem-solving and ability to work under pressure.
