Quality Assurance Engineer (Telecom Infrastructure)

About the role

Helios Towers is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure engineering excellence across its telecom tower portfolio in Africa. Based in Accra, you will act as the bridge between engineering, operations and field teams, driving quality, reliability and continuous improvement on all tower projects.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor compliance with Helios Towers’ engineering and technical standards in field operations.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits to verify that completed works meet specifications and safety requirements.
• Lead the technical resolution and closure of complex Stop Work Orders, especially on priority sites.
• Communicate and enforce technical bulletins and engineering updates.
• Maintain accurate quality‑assurance records, reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance engineering or a similar field‑based engineering role.
• Professional registration as an Engineer.
• Strong understanding of telecom tower infrastructure and the broader tower business environment.
• Proven ability to analyse technical issues and deliver practical field‑based solutions.
