Receiving Manager

About the role

The Receiving Manager will oversee the daily operations of the receiving area for a new retail store, ensuring that all goods are handled safely, stored correctly, and recorded accurately. This position plays a critical role in maintaining product freshness, inventory integrity, and smooth supplier interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the receiving area clean, organized, and maintained at appropriate temperatures.
• Verify that all incoming products are accounted for, correctly booked, and stored according to company standards.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the store’s product range and its suppliers.
• Ensure accurate receipt of stock during deliveries and promptly address any discrepancies.

Required profile

• Forklift operator certificate and valid license.
• Strong interpersonal abilities to liaise with suppliers and internal staff.
• Numeracy skills for checking quantities, unit prices, invoices, and credits.
• Ability to work under pressure and keep shelves replenished throughout the day.
• 1–2 years of experience in a retail or similar environment.
