Risk Control Manager

About the role

The Risk Control Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end execution and oversight of post‑sanction activities, ensuring facility letters, drawdowns, limits and covenant management are delivered accurately and promptly. The role supports business growth while maintaining strict adherence to credit policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Generate facility letters, set up limits and process disbursements within agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Ensure legal opinions, credit waivers and deferral approvals are in place for all deficient documents.
• Act as the technical reference for post‑sanction risk matters and manage facility limits in line with the latest sanctions.
• Oversee post‑sanction monitoring activities such as benchmark repricing, excess management, cash margins and early drawdowns.
• Maintain covenant and condition data, including capture, testing, flagging overdue items and escalation.
• Collaborate with the internal legal team on non‑standard commercial terms and documentation.
• Serve as point of contact for internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Produce error‑free Management Information for risk governance and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure segregation of duties across Risk Control processes and support Business Continuity testing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in post‑sanction credit operations within a banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of localized credit policies, legal documentation and audit processes.
• Ability to manage limits, excesses and covenant compliance effectively.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
