Sandblaster

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Sandblaster to join our field crew in the Greater Accra area. You will prepare steel and concrete surfaces for coating by operating abrasive blasting equipment and ensuring the correct surface profile before the coating team arrives.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and shut down blast pots, hoses, nozzles and compressors.
• Prepare steel and concrete surfaces to specified cleanliness and profile standards.
• Mask and protect areas that must not be blasted.
• Load abrasive media, monitor moisture and pressure, and replace worn nozzles.
• Perform basic daily checks and maintenance on blasting equipment and report faults.
• Assist the coating crew with priming and painting when required.
• Follow all site safety rules, wearing full PPE including blast helmet, respiratory and hearing protection.
• Keep the work area tidy and dispose of spent abrasive properly.
• Report daily progress and material usage to the site supervisor.

Required profile

• Aged 22–40, physically fit and able to work long shifts in hot conditions.
• Hands‑on sandblasting experience on industrial or marine projects.
• Good safety habits, comfortable working in confined spaces and at height.
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow directions on a busy site.
• Clear communication with crew and supervisor.
