Senior Consultant – Education Outcomes Fund (2‑month, remote, Ghana)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead the Ghana Education Outcomes Fund (GEOF) programme for a two‑month remote assignment. The consultant will act as the Education Outcomes Fund’s primary in‑country representative, coordinating stakeholder engagement and driving progress on key workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for the GEOP programme in Ghana.
• Facilitate engagement with government agencies, NGOs and other partners to advance the Accelerated Learning Programme and the Mainstream School Improvement Programme.
• Monitor and report on the implementation of agreed priority activities.
• Provide technical input to ensure alignment with results‑based financing mechanisms.
• Support the preparation of outcome‑based payment documentation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Development, Education, Public Policy, Social Science or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including programme design and implementation in the education sector.
• Proven experience working in Ghana’s education system and with government entities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
