About the role

The University of Cape Coast invites applications for Lecturer positions within the Department of Vocational and Technical Education. The role supports teaching and research across a range of engineering and technical disciplines, contributing to the Faculty of Science and Technology Education.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in selected engineering or technical subjects.
• Supervise undergraduate research projects and theses.
• Maintain an active research agenda and publish scholarly work.
• Participate in departmental committees and curriculum development.
• Promote equity, diversity, and inclusion within the learning environment.

Required profile

• PhD in one of the listed fields or a closely related area.
• Minimum two years experience as an Assistant Lecturer at a recognized institution.
• Strong research background and professional experience in the relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and corporate experience.
• Maximum age of 50 years and ability to supervise undergraduate research.

Required skills

• Subject‑matter expertise in Wood Technology, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, Family Ecology and Management, or Food and Nutrition.
• Experience in curriculum design and academic assessment.
