Senior Consultant – Education Outcomes Fund (GEOP) – Accra (Remote)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior consultant to act as the Education Outcomes Fund’s (EOF) primary in‑country representative for the Ghana Education Outcomes Project (GEOP). The role is remote‑based for Ghanaian nationals and will focus on coordinating the programme, engaging stakeholders and driving progress on key workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as EOF’s main point of contact in Ghana for the GEOP programme.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with government agencies, NGOs and community partners.
• Coordinate implementation of the Accelerated Learning Programme and the Mainstream School Improvement Programme.
• Monitor and report on progress against agreed outcomes and ensure technical inputs are provided.
• Facilitate alignment with the World Bank‑funded GALOP framework.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Development, Education, Public Policy or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in education programme design, public policy and implementation.
• Proven experience working in the Ghana education sector and with Ghanaian government entities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of innovative financing mechanisms is desirable.
