About the role
Tullow Oil is seeking a dynamic Senior HR Business Partner to join its permanent HR team in Accra, Ghana. The role provides comprehensive operational HR support, coaching and direction to achieve strategic people objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Provide HR advice, guidance and support for a defined business area, helping leaders develop and deliver the local people plan.
- Drive execution of HR processes including budgeting, organisational review, salary and performance management.
- Advocate and support the HR operating model, ensuring compliance with agreed services.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide front‑line coaching to employees and line managers.
- Lead organisational development initiatives and coordinate reward activities such as annual salary reviews and performance bonuses.
- Support new hires and internal transfers with relocation, immigration, induction and benefits administration.
- Drive talent activities including training needs analysis, development programmes and recruitment of top candidates.
- Facilitate staff mobility, ensure compliance with legislation and participate in group projects as required.
Required profile
- Degree holder (Bachelor’s) with a Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional HR accreditation (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
- Minimum 5‑8 years of experience in HR business partnering, preferably in a blue‑chip or multinational environment.
- Experience working in a matrix organisation with strong knowledge of performance management, people development and talent management.
- Proven skills in organisational design, change management, resourcing and complex reward philosophies.
- Background in the petroleum or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
