Social Media Manager (Volunteer, Remote)

About the role

The Social Media Manager will support IHRDC’s mission by planning, creating, and managing content across its social media channels. This part‑time, remote volunteer position focuses on amplifying impact stories, programs, and events while maintaining a consistent, purpose‑aligned brand voice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute content calendars for multiple platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn).
• Schedule posts, monitor engagement, and respond to comments and messages.
• Collaborate with program and leadership teams to translate initiatives into digital campaigns.
• Analyze performance metrics, optimize posting strategies, and recommend improvements to increase reach.
• Stay up‑to‑date with social media trends and best practices.

Required profile

• Young adults (18‑25) eager to learn and contribute to a youth‑focused nonprofit.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience in social media management or related digital communications is preferred.
• Familiarity with community‑focused or nonprofit initiatives is an advantage.
