Student Recruitment Lead – Africa

About the role

The Student Recruitment Lead – Africa will drive student enrolment growth for a Canadian higher‑education institution across key African markets. Based in Accra, the role combines outreach, agency management and on‑the‑ground support to guide prospective students from inquiry to enrolment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead student recruitment, outreach and conversion activities across assigned African markets.
• Provide end‑to‑end guidance to prospective students, from initial inquiry through enrolment.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard high‑performing student recruitment agencies in line with partnership criteria.
• Manage and grow relationships with approved education agents, ensuring compliance and quality outcomes.
• Develop strategic relationships with school counsellors and administrators at leading private and international schools.
• Represent the institution at recruitment fairs, school visits and marketing events throughout the region.
• Deliver market intelligence, competitor insights and regular performance reports to inform strategy.
• Coordinate logistics and support for the institution’s International Office representatives during visits to Africa.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead recruitment and outreach initiatives in African education markets.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with agents, school counsellors and institutional stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for prospective students and partners.
• Analytical mindset to produce market intelligence and performance reporting.
• Willingness to travel within the region for events and on‑site support.
