Trade Finance Origination Principal – Africa

About the role

Cebron Global is seeking a senior Trade Finance Origination Principal to lead the sourcing and structuring of large‑scale commodity trade finance transactions across key African markets. This commission‑only position will leverage your network and technical expertise to originate deals ranging from US$25M to over US$100M.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and build relationships with mid‑tier exporters, importers and processors requiring trade finance beyond local bank capacity.
• Originate mandates for facilities backed by confirmed LCs, pre‑export contracts or verified warehouse collateral.
• Pre‑screen counterparties, trade flows and off‑takers in collaboration with third‑party verification partners.
• Present structured, funder‑ready opportunities to Cebron’s introduction desk for placement.
• Maintain a disciplined pipeline and coordinate with a pan‑African team covering multiple commodities.

Required profile

• Former trade finance banker, structured finance professional or seasoned commodity trade advisor with an active network in one or more African markets.
• Deep understanding of LC mechanics, UCP 600, pre‑export structures and alternative funder risk considerations.
• Proven ability to source and close high‑value commodity trade finance transactions.
